Places to visit
The surrounding area offers a multitude of interesting sights. There are many historical local buildings and museums to visit, including Elgar's birthplace, Eastnor Castle, Snowshill Manor, Worcester cathedral, and the abbeys in Evesham and Pershore. A little further afield you can get to Warwick Castle or Shakespeare's birthplace in Stratford-Upon-Avon.
For the more 'horticultured' there are beautiful gardens to be found at Hidcote Manor, Croome Park and Spetchley Park, which are open between March - November. Nearby Malvern hosts the famous Malvern Spring Garden show every May at the Three Counties Showground, where you will find other rural events hosted throughout the year.
Activities
Pensham Fields is ideally suited for local walking and cycling trails, with plenty more a short distance away including Bredon Hill, the Malvern Hills, the Cotswolds and the Forest of Dean. For those seeking water based activities there are local sailing and windsurfing centres near Tewkesbury and Pershore. More leisurely River Cruises are organised from the local village of Fladbury, Upton on Severn, Worcester and Tewkesbury. Fishing permits can be acquired from the local council for the River Avon.
There is a good choice of golf courses, riding stables and a tennis centre within a ten mile radius. The racecourses at nearby Cheltenham, Stratford and Worcester are all easily accessible. During Cheltenham Gold Cup Festival in March we may be able to offer accommodation packages including transport to and from the racecourse.
